It is astonishing but Britney Spears really made a great comeback at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) not only being nominated in three categories but also being able to win the title of the “Video of the year”. The troubled singer looked great and smiled like she used to at the beginning of her career. She wore a beautiful dress and didn’t perform live like she did one year ago. The mother of two was really well-shaped and obviously lost weight. It seems as if Britney Spears will be a shining star again…
One month before a child custody trial was to begin, Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline has been granted sole custody of their two sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James. Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News, “The case has been settled. The court still has to approve it.” “Nobody could have anticipated the terms of events that have occurred….” he added. “This was a two-year journey that will be halted at a point that is good for these children. Custody is always modifiable. If there is a final order, it means there is nothing to try.” Britney will have visitation rights.

Jamie Lynn, sister of popstar Britney Spears, just gave birth to a little baby girl called Maddie Briann in a Mississippi-hospital. The 17 year old actress - who gained fame through her Teenie-Show “Zoey 101″ on Nickelodeon - has moved back to Kentwood/Louisiana a couple of months ago to be cared for by her Mum while her Dad helped Britney through her difficult time. helpbritney.org wants to express the best wishes for Maddie Briann and her family.
Journalist Ian Halperin told the press that Britney Spears tried to commit suicide twice since her split-up from Kevin Federline in late 2006. The troubled singer obviously had major problems shortly after the birth of her son Jayden James when she started realizing, that her relationship with K-Fed would come to an end. She then started saying things like “I wish I was dead’ or ‘It’d be better if I could go to sleep and never wake up’ (Source: www.digitalspy.co.uk).
Obviously Britney Spears (26) has become a “good girl” and seems to have gained control over her life again. Her two boys had the possibility to celebrate mothers day with her mum and now Spears has been given expanded visitation rights to see Sean Preston and Jayden James more often. A very important step for the singer! And there are even rumours that she could reunite with Kevin Federline - the two should have been seen holding hands and kissing …
In an interview popstar Madonna stated that she is still supporting Britney and that the media should leave her alone and that “everone should save her”. Madonna also said that she like to exercise with Britneys music and that her 11 year old daughter Lourdes is a fan of the fading singer.
“Spice-Girl” Victoria Beckham said that she could “never live a life like Britney Spears” and that a constant pressure like the one on the fallen popstar would make her go crazy. “Posh” expressed her feelings during an interview for OK! magazin and stated how important a private life without cameras is.
Kevin Federline has agreed on a modifcation of the visitation rights for his kids that makes it possible that Britney can see her boys. The two were brought to Britney Spears’ home where they had a three hour stay with their mum. Sources say that Britney Spears’ father Jamie and a psychiologist were present.
Britney Spears is still under the custody of her father Jamie and the court said that she is not allowed to see her two little boys until a hearing with Kevin Federline at March 10th. So she wouldn’t be able to spend time with her kids for almost 70 days. The question arises: Is this ok? Or would it be better for the two sons to see their mum in the meantime?
Again Britney Spears showed just too much: After the pictures where she didn’t wear a slip were released in 2006 now again she was “shot” without panties. Please Britney, try to learn! It is not good for your reputation to be photographed like that and all the paparazzi out there exactly know when and where to take such pictures. You are not the kind of “celebrity” like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton etc.
